When Tyra Wright-Johnson's romantic relationship went from emotionally strenuous to physically violent, she found the help needed for herself and daughters. Tyra acquired the skills to rebuild their lives and wanted to give back.
She founded The Women's Solo Project, Inc to help serve women like herself throughout Philadelphia and surrounding counties. TWSP provides education, resources, and empowerment to women in need, at no charge.
The Women’s Solo Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that offers comprehensive workshops in domestic violence prevention, educational development, employment skills, and financial literacy–at no cost to our participants. Each workshop is designed to help women to achieve self-sufficiency and to regain the independence and self-confidence they need to thrive.
